I'm Burk Moreland. I help owners build companies that don't depend on them for every decision.
Built on the job
I've spent decades in construction as a builder, a subcontractor, and an owner. I know what it's like when every problem lands on your desk, because I've been the one carrying it.
I started working with IES Residential as an outside business coach. They brought me on full-time, and as Vice President I was part of the leadership team that grew the company from about $200 million to over $1 billion. I coached branch managers directly and designed the training program that developed leaders at every level.
Today I work with owners and leadership teams in construction and other owner-led businesses through Rainmaker Builders, and I've spoken at the International Builders' Show five times.
What I believe
Owners don't need more theory. Most already know more than they have time to use. What they need is someone to help find what matters, build the people around them, and stick with it until it holds.
When people grow, the business follows.

Off the clock
When I'm not working, I'm usually underwater, sailing a boat, flying a plane, or just enjoying life. I'm earning my sailing certification now.
